The Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System collects surface runoff from rivers and creeks in three major watersheds that is stored in reservoirs that are created by dams, both large and small, for municipal water supply and hydropower generation. To help better understand the potential vulnerability of the SFPUC Regional Water System (RWS) to uncertain future conditions, SFPUC partnered with The Water Research Foundation to develop a long-term vulnerability assessment (LTVA) of the RWS.
