GoSolarSF
To propel us into a clean energy future, the City launched GoSolarSF, a program that provides financial incentives to help residents and businesses install solar panels on rooftops across San Francisco. GoSolarSF helps to reduce participants’ electricity bills and the City’s carbon footprint. Since the program launched in 2008, GoSolarSF has distributed nearly $30 million and incentivized 6,000 solar systems in San Francisco.
Important Information About Remaining GoSolarSF Funding
Currently only the DAC-SASH incentive category for customers with low incomes remains available. All other categories are now fully subscribed and closed.
DAC-SASH Incentives
GoSolarSF partners with Grid Alternatives, a non-profit solar installer that serves families with low incomes. Grid Alternatives operates the Energy for All Program, which includes the following program: Disadvantaged Communities – Single-family Solar Homes (DAC-SASH).
Homeowners qualified to receive solar with the DAC-SASH program are eligible for a no-cost solar system, which can help reduce a family’s electric bill. Not sure if you qualify? Determine your eligibility by visiting Grid Alternatives' Energy for All Program webpage.
