As a convenience to website visitors, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), a department of the City and County of San Francisco, has added a translation feature developed by Google Translate and GTranslate to assist web visitors in understanding information on this website in languages other than English. Google Translate and GTranslate provide automated computer text translations that may not always provide exact translations. No automated translation is perfect or designed to replace human translators; as a result, the translated text may lose some of its intended meaning. Some items on the site, including images containing text, videos with captioning, PDF documents, or maps may not be translated, and some features on the site may not work in the translated versions.

The SFPUC does not guarantee the accuracy of translations through Google Translate and GTranslate, and the translated text should not be considered exact. The official text of the SFPUC’s website is the English language version. The text translated is made available on an as is and as available basis without any warranties of any kind. The City disclaims and will not accept any liability for damages or losses of any kind caused by the use of the Google Translate and GTranslate feature.
