Southern Skyline Boulevard Ridge Trail Extension Project
Overview
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is constructing a new six-mile segment of the Bay Area Ridge Trail and enhancing the existing Fifield-Cahill Ridge Trail with the construction of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant loop trail. Funding for the Southern Skyline Boulevard Ridge Trail Extension Project is provided by the SFPUC Water Enterprise Capital Improvement Program and a grant from the Federal Highway Administration (Federal Project ID: STPL-62).
3- WEEK CONSTRUCTION UPDATE -- CONSTRUCTION IS BEING DELAYED BY INCLEMENT WEATHER THROUGH THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.
Work may resume the week of December 2, 2024. However, with the beginning of the winter season most construction activity may be rescheduled until Spring 2025.
SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 92 -- Construction of Middle Section of trail well underway; SR35 parking lot placement of structural fill material and testing compaction; installing new boundary fence.
NORTH OF HIGHWAY 92 -- Grading of Cahill Parking Lot; UAL Trail and Parking Lot delay for design changes; fabricating bathroom at Cahill Parking Lot.
