Garden, Lawn, Picnic Areas

The Southeast Community Center's beautiful outdoor space seats approximately 2 acres of land and features a children's playground area with a natural play area, picnic areas with tables and barbecue pits, and benches, sports lawn, swinging benches, and several small gardens and walking pathways that feature a dry creek for diverting stormwater runoff. 

Extensive natural play elements are integrated with the lawn and garden areas. There are balance logs, a boulder field set within the grove planting area, a natural rock wall, and a boulder mound. The sports lawn can be used for different activities like sports and games.

Three separate picnic areas with picnic tables, smaller picnic platforms, and benches are provided.  Each panic table can seat a group of 6.  Water-drinking fountains are close by to keep people hydrated.

This creative and playful recreational area is the perfect place to plan group outings with friends, families, and groups of young people.

Our outdoor recreation area is open to the public on a first come first serve basis. The barbeque areas just require user to check-in with reception and the lawn is reservable on request. There is no furniture included with any outdoor rentals.
