Filming and Photoshoots
Looking for a place to film your next movie or a location to snap some pictures for an ad? Regardless of your next production type, we might be the perfect spot for you. If you are interested in finding out more information about filming at one of our facilities, you have come to the right place.
Getting Started
Here are a few steps you must follow in order for us to us best accommodate your request:
- Please give us a two-week notice prior to the filming day
- Please submit the filming and photography form to help us better understand your project(s) and needs
- You will need a permit from the San Francisco Film Commission to film at our facilities. Contact the San Francisco Film Commission to get started on obtaining a permit by calling 415-554-6241 or by visiting their website at www.filmsf.org/
- You will need to fill out a Rider user agreement form.
What you need to know
- Payment is due in advance of filming. Make checks payable to: SFPUC Wastewater Enterprise.
- No one under the age of 18 years is allowed to partake in filming at the Oceanside Treatment Facility due to construction.
- Your film/production crew is responsible for cleaning, putting back any signage removed, and removing any items brought from outside for filming.

Fees are 1.5 times the hourly rates described above per staff member: One 7373 Senior Stationary Engineer @$144/hour |
Labor / Staff Time for more than 6 people: (1 staff member per 6 people) during normal working hours |
One 7373 Senior Stationary Engineer @ $96/hour, plus One 7372 Stationary Engineer @ $85/hour |

Sample Project Pricing:
- Sample project will have a film crew of 6 people.
- Project will take place at Oceanside Treatment Facility for four hours.
- Project will take place on a weekday during normal working hours of 11am-3pm.
