Purpose
To provide a set of typical details for gravity sewer design for the wastewater collection system.
Who Must Comply?
All construction projects that include the new installation, relocation, or other modification of a collection system operated by our Wastewater Enterprise.
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) operates the City’s sewer system, including the gravity collection system. A set of Typical Details for gravity sewer design has been provided for the collection system, approved by the SFPUC Wastewater Enterprise.
Prior to use in project designs, project teams shall review and customize these typical details as appropriate to their project requirements. This will require a Professional Engineer’s evaluation and stamp. Any deviation from these details will require a written concurrence by the Wastewater Enterprise, Collection System Division.
