April is Climate Action Month! Every decision you make helps build a more sustainable and resilient planet.

Actions You Can Take Today
Here are a few simple actions you can take when it comes to clean energy for you and your family. Renewable energy from solar and wind—not dirty fossil fuels—is better for your health, our community, and the planet.

During Earth Month, residents can explore going all-electric and reduce their energy footprint through energy efficiency tips.
During Earth Month, residents can explore going all-electric and reduce their energy footprint through energy efficiency tips.

1. Upgrade to 100% Renewable Energy
If you are one of our 385,000 CleanPowerSF residential customers (check your next PG&E bill and look for our line item on the first page), you are already receiving at least 50% renewable energy for your home. But for just $3 more a month, you can ensure all your electricity is generated from renewable sources like the sun and wind with our SuperGreen 100% renewable energy service. You’ll not only reduce your impact on the environment but help push for more renewable energy projects in the Bay Area and California. Don’t wait another moment, choose 100% renewable energy today.

2. Explore Going All-Electric at Home
The key to tackling climate change? Electrify everything. This means that instead of relying on natural gas to heat water in your home or gasoline for your car, you’ll use (clean) electricity instead.

Get started by taking a look at new incentives for electric water heaters for your home or attend a virtual webinar to learn about electric vehicles.

3. Reduce Your Energy Use and Save!
Reducing how much energy we use is just as important as getting energy from cleaner sources. By making smart energy decisions at home, you can reduce the amount of energy you use, lower your electricity bill, and help your family, the environment, and our community. Here are a few recommendations to reduce your energy footprint today.

SFPUC’s New Clean Energy Initiatives

To meet San Francisco’s climate action goals, we all need to do our part. That’s why Mayor Breed recently announced new initiatives from CleanPowerSF and Hetch Hetchy Power that reduce carbon emissions and promote equitable access to clean energy. The initiatives include discounts for 100% renewable energy for customers with low incomes and rebates to replace fossil fuel powered appliances. These new efforts will help the City make further progress in reaching its goals, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
