Gold Mine Drive Pipeline Replacement Project
Overview
To ensure reliable water service in this portion of the Diamond Heights neighborhood, we have replaced pipes that were approaching the end of their useful life. This work was scheduled to take place in segments:
- Crags Court from the dead end to Berkeley Way. Completed except for paving the Crags Court/Berkeley Way intersection. (Completed)
- Berkeley Way from Crags Court to Diamond Heights Boulevard. (Completed)
- Gold Mine Drive from Jade Place to Diamond Heights Boulevard; and Jade Place from the dead end to Gold Mine Drive. (Completed)
- Topaz Way from Gold Mine Drive to Gold Mine Drive. (Completed.)
- Ora Way from Gold Mine Drive to Topaz Way. (Completed.)
- Gold Mine Drive from dead end to Ora Way. (Completed.)
Now that all of the segments have been built, the construction team is reviewing the work that was done, compiling a "punch list" of any items needing further attention, and filing "as built" maps and paperwork.

Project Background
Aging pipelines are being replaced throughout the City. The majority of water pipelines in this portion of the Diamond Heights neighborhood were installed in 1961. The project will include construction of new curb ramps to provide an accessible path of travel for public sidewalks at Gold Mine Drive & Ora Way, Ora Way and Topaz Way, Berkeley Way and Crags Court, plus Gold Mine Drive and Diamond Heights Boulevard.

Now that all of the segments have been built, the construction team is in close-out mode: reviewing the work that was done, compiling a "punch list" of any items needing further attention, and filing "as built" maps and paperwork.
