The Southeast Community Center (SECC) has partnered with Dragonspunk to serve the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhoods with a Farmers Market every Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm starting June 6 through October 31, 2024.
Our farmers market provides essentials for the community with fresh produce brought in from nearby farms. Residents can get food at its peak directly from local farmers, which helps prevent waste in the delivery process, has fewer people handling the produce, and a shorter distance in travel. Come and get fresh produce, baked goods and more while enjoying family activities. Customers can purchase food with a credit card, debit card and CalFresh SNAP EBT card.
The Southeast Community Center is a hub for the local community to gather, learn, play, grow and eat! Through a strategic partnership model, the SECC promotes the health, well-being, cultural and empowerment of southeast residents.
“I am so excited the Southeast Farmers Market will open June 6th. This year’s market will feature cool activities like cooking demos and flower arranging workshops! It’s more than a great place to get fresh, affordable produce…it’s a destination with good music and fun for the whole family,” says Emily Rogers Pharr, executive director of the Southeast Community Center.
